Fostering Family Agreement

The puppy is being offered as a CRSL owned dog to be cared for and fostered by a second party family.  The items included in the agreement, but not limited to, for foster care of the dog listed below are as follows:

  1. CRSL agrees to be financially responsible for breeding costs and/or care, genetic testing we choose to have done, as well as OFA testing and other tests we deem to be necessary in breeding of the dam/sire, plus accidents on the CRSL property for the dog.
  2. The foster family agrees to be responsible for the physical and financial care of the dog including food, annual shots, flea/tick medication, vitamins/supplements, and accidents while in the family’s care as well as general grooming or boarding as needed for the dog.
  3. The foster family needs to be located physically close to CRSL.
  4. The foster family agrees to allow the dog to be bred annually until an appropriate retirement age under the supervision of CRSL.  No other breeding will be allowed during this time.  The dog will be housed at the CRSL facility 10 days prior to delivery and during the nursing period.  The foster family is invited to visit with their pet during this stay.
  5. CRSL agrees to compensate the foster family financially $500 when the dog has been successfully bred and a healthy litter of five or more puppies have been sold.
  6. CRSL agrees to have the dog spayed at their expense once the dog is retired from active breeding.
  7. The ownership of the dog will be transferred directly to the foster family upon retirement with no additional costs or fees due to CRSL.
  8. The foster family agrees to accept all physical and financial liabilities and needs for the dogs upon breeding retirement and ownership transfer that have been stated otherwise above.

If your family would like to have a silver or charcoal lab for free and you feel this program would work for you, please email me with a note and we will get back to you as soon as we have a dog available.
